Rachel Knudson is a therapist whose life and clinical practice are grounded in her faith in Jesus Christ. She believes that true healing flows from God and that every individual is created with inherent dignity, value, and purpose. Her faith shapes the compassion, integrity, and hope she brings into her work each day.
Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah. She integrates faith-based perspectives into counseling when desired by the client, while maintaining full adherence to ethical standards, professional guidelines, and evidence-based practice.
Rachel earned her Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies from Phoenix Career College and her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. She later completed her Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
She has extensive experience providing outpatient counseling services to adults and adolescents in community-based and behavioral health settings. Her clinical work includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, serious mental health challenges, addiction, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem and body-image concerns, and traumatic brain injuries.
Rachel also has specialized experience working with adolescents who have experienced exploitation and trafficking through licensed programs and community partnerships, providing trauma-informed care focused on safety, stabilization, and restoration.
She works with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including those with sexual behavior concerns, offering outpatient counseling services within the scope of her licensure and training. When appropriate, she supports clients navigating court, probation, or parole systems in coordination with legal and community supports.
Rachel is trained in trauma-focused treatment through the Trauma Institute International and has completed specialized training related to the treatment of individuals with sexual behavior concerns. Her clinical approach is client-centered and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and feedback-informed treatment.
While Rachel firmly believes in the redemptive power of Christ, she honors each client’s personal beliefs and integrates spiritual components into treatment only at the client’s request. She is committed to providing professional, ethical, and evidence-informed counseling to every individual she serves.
Rachel believes that the past does not define a person’s future. Through accountability, compassion, and—when desired—faith-centered guidance, healing and restoration are possible.
Heber’s personal journey of restoration has deeply shaped the heart behind The King’s Table Behavioral Health. Having experienced incarceration and addiction, and later finding healing through faith, his story reflects the redemptive themes of hope, resilience, and transformation that influence the organization’s mission.
Through life experience, growth, and spiritual renewal, Heber has developed a deep compassion for individuals navigating difficult seasons of life. His story serves as a reminder that change is possible and that dignity can be restored, even after significant hardship.
Together with his wife of thirteen years, Rachel, he is raising their family and remains committed to faith, growth, and living out the values that inspired the creation of The King’s Table.
Heber does not serve in a clinical, operational, supervisory, or leadership role within The King’s Table Behavioral Health.
