Animals have a unique ability to soothe anxiety, reduce stress, and create a sense of emotional safety. In therapy, trained dogs like Shalom and Tikvah can help you explore difficult topics while helping you to remain emotionally regulated.
By simply being present, therapy dogs help break down barriers—making healing feel more approachable and less overwhelming.
Shalom is a one-and-a-half-year-old male with a gentle heart and a calming presence. His name means “peace,” and he lives up to it every day. He has successfully completed two of the four required trainings on his journey toward becoming a fully certified therapy dog. Shalom is naturally intuitive—often sensing when a client needs comfort, encouragement, or a playful reminder that they’re not alone. His soothing presence brings peace to the therapeutic space, helping clients feel safe and supported.
Tikvah is a joyful, high-energy female who loves to share playful affection and encouragement. Her name means “hope,” beautifully reflecting the way she lifts spirits and inspires strength in others. Tikvah excels at helping clients feel comforted and emotionally grounded during difficult moments in therapy. With her wagging tail and enthusiastic personality, she reminds clients that healing includes joy and that hope is always within reach.
